Last January 16, 2011 was one of the greatest celebration for the opening of the new year, it was the SINULOG FESTIVAL!

Sinulog festival is a feast honoring the patron saint of Cebu City, Señor Sto. Niño.  It is always celebrated every third Sunday of the month of January. 

This celebration will last for one week. First of all there is an opening program as well as the closing program. This Sinulog 2011 was so far the nicest Sinulog due to the fact that the street dancing, the giant handcrafts of the people made the feast very colorful. 

Everyday of the one week celebration, mass was celebrated at the Basilica del Santo Niño for honoring and offering thanksgiving to Him for all the blessing He has showered upon us. The Eucharist celebration is usually attended by thousands of people, from different provinces and even tourist. 

     The theme for this year is Chinese. The traditional beat and rhythm of the music was still used but they enhance it more and there was somewhat called  "remix" or a Chinese Medley.

 In spite of the heavy rain, the feast was still push through and it made it more fun because everybody was enjoying under the rain. Dancers were still active and still put smile on their faces and enjoy for they praise our blessed Señor Santo Niño.

People were dancing and was having a great time during the parade with there colorful and attractive costumes and props.

Famous personalities were also here to express their respect, and want to share their time with us.

And of course. after the celebration there is always a fireworks display.
